So, we headed to Cleveland, TN (outside Chattanooga) this weekend for my family's big reunion. I haven't gotten the pics from the actual reunion together yet, but here's some from our super fun day out at my cuz James and his wife Angela's house on the lake. Cole was hating his life vest for the first hour or so - and the girls rode jet ski's for the very first time!! Very good times... Thanks James & Angela for giving us such a fun day!

The girls have been tearing up the concert scene in Nashville this week...Alex, Megan & a couple friends went to the Plain White T's concert down at Rocketown. (fyi - they're the ones that sing "Hey There Delilah")

The COOLEST part though was when we were leaving I pulled around to the back of the building heading toward the interstate and we found the band heading to their bus!! I thought the girls were going to plunge to their deaths trying to jump out of the car while I tried to pull over. Luckily everyone survived - and got pictures with the lead singer, Tom Higgenson! (again, funky cell phone pics, oh well) That guy was SO NICE! He was super patient while all the girls got pictures, and he hung out and talked with everybody for a really long time. Good times...

Me and the girls went to the Fleetwood Mac concert down at the Sommet Center last night and IT WAS AMAZING! Stevie's voice - oh that woman...she gives me chill bumps. But I was most blown away by Lindsey - that dude ROCKED the ENTIRE show! I was worn out just watching him. I mean, how old are they now??? I could have never kept up with the man.

I'm going to start blogging again.

No offense, but it's not for you - it's for us. Us being me and Eric. We used to love scrolling through this stupid blog every now and then, remembering the random things that had happened over the year...and now there's a great big gaping hole in our weird little life story because I haven't made the time to keep this up. Well, this chic says NO MORE! I am the kind of woman who can run a couple businesses AND have a life! I just know it! Hear me roar,

It won't take long to update you on what's been going on in the 4 months since I last posted...we haven't been doing much. Business has been good, so we've been busy with work. The girls survived the school year. Casey's still puttering around being the best dog ever. Cole is saying all kinds of stuff now...he's a little parrot. I'm starting another "business venture", but it's going to be my little secret for now...

Here it is folks! Alex finally got her braces off. What-a-beauty!

We spent a fabulous afternoon in Cleveland today with the whole family, except for Dad and Tina :( . We celebrated Thanksgiving a couple weeks early this year because mom is having surgery Tuesday and we were afraid she wouldn't be well enough to go to the "real" turkey day. As usual, there was WAY too much great food and we all made absolute pigs of ourselves.

A first for our family, we decided to get a group photo. I don't know why we don't do this every year. I do wish we could have found a better location because the porch was a little cramped with so many people, but it wouldn't stop raining.

Anyway, as I mentioned before, mom is having really yucky surgery on Tuesday morning – so if you could all say some prayers for her I would really appreciate it!

You just wouldn't believe how busy it's been. Krista and I are getting dangerously close to our big launch, and things just snowball near the end. (or is it the beginning? hmmm...let's hope!)

Anyhow, there has been absolutely nothing to write about. Eric is keeping really busy, the kids are always busy/gone/texting and my butt has literally grown into my desk chair. Seriously, I can update you on the last 3 weeks with one picture.

This is it. All of it. This is what it looks like at my house. Nobody's around, and I'm just sitting there in a design frenzy at my desk. (oooh I love my job!)

Well, today I DO actually have something to write about! On Monday my hubby celebrated the 20th anniversary of his 18th birthday! He got a TomTom, which will be great for getting him to all those home inspections. Happy Birthday E!!!

I've also got some pictures today! Hooray!

Time for new menus at the Corner Pub down on Broadway! If you've never been there, it's a really cool little joint with great pub food and a fantastic atmosphere. Plasmas everywhere with the game on, huge wall of windows facing the street that are always wide open when the weather's good, fun Vandy crowd, and a great bar if it's been that kinda day...

They always insist on a one page menu, and with all the great food they offer – things get a little tight...but I always seem to squeeze it all on there somehow! :) I swear next time I'm going to talk them into a bigger folding menu...

Okay, I just don't think that last picture conveyed the size of these bulbs people. (yes, I'm still talking about the bulb...) So here's a picture of my head to put it in perspective. Wait a minute! That thing is bigger than my head!!!! And my lights consist of 4 of these big-o-bulbs. Fire it up baby!

And here's all the other stuff. Yes, it's set up in my foyer :) – it's just a matter of seconds before Eric boots me to the garage, which will actually be much better. I couldn't even extend the backdrop and lights all the way because there just isn't enough room...

The funniest thing to me is that I didn't realize how BIG the bulbs for these lights were going to be! I don't know if I mentioned – the lighting that I chose is a new "eco friendly" studio lighting product that uses compact florescent lights, using much less energy and producing 90% less heat than traditional lights. Love that! So, here is the very first photo taken with the new lights...a picture of the actual light – side by side with a standard compact florescent bulb used in your home. (took it right out of my living room lamp) Can you tell how gianormous these things are??? Hilarious!

Anyway, I'll post some more pics of the whole set up later. Right now I have to go play!

Also, guess what I finally ordered this week???? I'll give you a hint – it kinda goes with my camera and I'll be able to do some really cool stuff with it... (those weren't very good hints, were they?) Okay, I'll just tell you.

Studio Lights! Hooray! I also ordered a background stand and one of those cool "green screen" backdrops. Ooooh, I've got some crazy fun plans for it! It's not all play and no work though – I was able to justify the purchase because I've found myself shooting clients a lot lately for their print work and websites. This will make life a little easier. (and prettier) I'm so excited!

...that I'm a collector of what I consider to be "super cool coffee cups". At the moment, my collection is extremely small because I don't purposely go out and shop for super cool coffee cups, they have to find me. Soooo, check out the latest cup to find me...it's the first one. Got it at Starbucks of all places while in Indiana. I love how the inside is painted too. The other two are just samples of my collection that happened to be clean and in the cabinet. The second one came from the annual craft fair at Centennial Park last year, and the third I'm sure came from T.J. Maxx – my fav-o-rite store in the world. :) You may be thinking "who gives a crap about your stupid coffee cups, Brandi", but I don't care – they make me happy!

Every year before diggin' into lunch, everyone gathers in a circle to say grace and then each family has an opportunity for announcements. This year there was a new marriage, a new house for Pam and Dale, a new baby for Andrea and David, new jobs for Julie and Matt, and we even had one that announced he had joined up to serve our country.

After the big picnic, we went back to the hotel so the kids could swim, then to Ben and Mary's where a card game quickly erupted. I was the biggest loser, being the first one out in a game of quarters. My firstborn redeemed us though by winning the game and collecting the big $11 pot. Go Alex!

Alright, seeing as how I cannot seem to sleep in hotel rooms - I am now thoroughly exhausted and am going to bed! Good night everybody!

WE ARE PIGS!

We didn't really know we were pigs, we just had a feeling that our vacuum wasn't picking up like it used to – it is nearly 15 years old ya know. So yesterday morning Eric runs to Sam's to get a new one. Even at twice the price of any other vacuum in stock, we still opted to get the Dyson. If I'm going to be pushing this sucker (pun intended) around for the next 15 years...I want a good one.

OH MY GOODNESS! Not exaggerating at all, we had to dump the container at least 5 times after vacuuming just the downstairs. This is after I had just vacuumed the day before. (with oldie) I'll spare you the pictures of the funk that came up from our carpet, it makes me shudder anyway. Just know that I'll be a walking commercial for this thing.

My only complaint is how STUPID it looks. I mean really - it looks like something from The Jetsons. As a matter of fact, I have already named it Rosie.

How does this happen? There are four very average size people living in this house. It is not winter, so the sheer size of the pile cannot be attributed to the bulk of sweaters or sweatshirts. I KNOW that I just emptied this basket yesterday. Really. There is still a load of towels in the dryer as proof. Yet here it is, again. My laundry basket is magic. It can turn pure air into piles of dirty clothing. Take that David Copperfield!

Okay, so we're trying to get ready to leave for our road trip to Chattanooga (Cleveland to be exact) at the CRACK OF DAWN. I put Cole down for 5 seconds in the driveway while his Dad puts in the car seat and loads in the diaper bags. Throw in the kid, hit the road. A few minutes later I turn around to see what he's doing... check the feet people!

Meet Scott! He is the pickiest client I have ever had. We must have gone through 50 logos before we got it JUST the way he wanted it. This man knows what he wants!

I tell you this because he carries that same picky attitude to work with him every day. We hired Scott to paint our two stairwells and the upstairs hallway (which involved some very high ceilings and a little scaffolding) - and let me tell you, he is METICULOUS! Absolute attention to every detail. The man filled even the tiniest microscopic nicks in our walls so that his paint job looked PERFECT. Maybe it's because a gigantic storm cloud decided to hover over our house for half the day, causing the power to go out - for half the day. This put me half-a-day behind in work, which I have decided to make up for - you guessed it - for half the night. Anyway, what's a girl to do with no computer or t.v. for half a day? If you're me, you take pictures. So get that scrolling finger ready....here we go.

Actually, the first 2 pictures were taken on Sunday when Alex was heading to her bff's "Red Carpet" party. Doesn't she look beautiful!

And here are three of the other girls who were there at the time I dropped of Alex. (I don't know how many ended up coming, but I DO know that they stayed up all night!) Alex tends to be a tinsy winsy bit grumpy the day after a sleepover...

She literally counted down the days, minutes and seconds until the release for weeks. Now, to a thirteen year old in 2008, especially one with a head for money like her mamma (he he) $200 is doable. Little did we know the iphone is really $400 if your 2 year contract isn't quite up. (you were right Dad....) So what does an AT&T customer of over 5 years with a total of 5 lines on her account do? You know it! I called 'em up hoping that they would make an exception for such a great customer. I mean really, she'll qualify for the upgrade in just 5 little months...surely they can just hit a little button on their little computer and make this happen for me now, right? HA! Or to be more accurate – HA HA HA! Those {insert bad word here} would not budge. They blamed it all on apple, saying how apple had a very strict policy bla bla bla - but the issue is with the contract renewal date - an AT&T thing which has nothing to do with the phone! I mean really, all we wanted to do was SPEND SOME MONEY AT THEIR STORE!

Alex is heartbroken but has not complained, which makes me even more upset that they won't help a mamma out. She's such a good kid, if they only knew her! Hmmmmmm...maybe I'll just start calling them every single day until they cave.

Okay, okay - I never could keep a straight face...I meant 3 members of the "Southern Ladies Up To Something" club. Do you not just LOVE LOVE LOVE that name!

The 3 ladies I speak of are Eric's 3 aunts from North Carolina (Claris, Cynthia and Elizabeth). These are three of the FUNNIEST women I have ever met! My cheeks were hurting for an hour after they left! Being the worst photo hobbyist in the world, I did not take one single picture of them. Go ahead and throw some tomatoes. (just not the ones with salmonella please) Anyway...we had a great time just hanging out and talking. They didn't get to stay for long because they were on their way to the Grand Ole' Opry. Ladies, I hope you had a great time! Come back to see us soon!

Originally discovered by Alex, this delicious yet RIDICULOUSLY priced beverage has found its way into my home. Have you guys seen this stuff? They sell it at Starbucks for who knows how much - but I can tell you it's $3 per bottle of the size pictured above at Publix. THREE DOLLARS! Needless to say, the girls each got ONE bottle. That's it. And they may never get it again. That's almost a gallon of gas for heaven's sake!

Anyhow, it's been a crazy busy week - and next week should be even crazier. I will actually be doing a lot of shooting next week, so look forward to lots of pics. I'll also post some of the design work that has been keeping me so busy once it's all final.

Tomorrow is my nephew's (Riley) birthday party over at Chris & Brenda's house and Sunday is my Godson's birthday. (little Zach is turning 2!) Brian's birthday was Thursday so we'll be celebrating it on Sunday with a little get together/cook-out. It's gunna be a busy weekend too!

Oh how do I love thee? Let me count the ways... unbelievably fast auto focus, all important controls at your fingertips (no menus to scroll through!), huge playback screen...I won't bore you with everything else that I love about this camera. Let me just say that I am SOOOOOOO happy! It may not be the biggest, baddest and best camera money can buy, but it's perfect for me!

Learn Something New Every Day...

Some of you may already know this, but I've been working on computers FOREVER and just figured it out about 6 months ago - so I figured I'd share because it's neat-o and a time saver for me. I'm assuming most of you are working on PC's, so I did this little demo on Eric's computer.

Okay, did you know that it's possible to take your mouse, click on the corner of a web address, and drag it to your desktop? (scroll on down...)

Then it creates for you a nifty little icon of the webpage right there on your desktop - and you just double click it to visit the site. So theoretically, you could all do this right this very minute, and have a super easy way to check out the crazy Cameron's anytime you wanted! Hmmmm...

Oh, sorry - guess it's just me...THIS is the new camera I ordered this week so that Eric could give it to me for our anniversary. ( :) he he ) I am sooooooooo excited! My current camera has had a broken command dial for the last year and half, so I've been having to work around it. You can expect way too many pictures being posted by the end of the week. Actually, we FINALLY had our beautiful fence built this week (hooray!) - but I'm holding off for the new camera to post pictures of it. Sick, right??!

Well, let me tell you. Megan, my little creative genius, has scored a perfect "6" on her TCAP Writing Assessment. She was the only one in her class to score a 6 - GO MEGAN!

Now on to creative genius #2 (or #1 if you're going by birth order...hum) -
